Inventory pages and functions
List URLs, services, downloads, forms and connected tools. Review current content and pages receiving visits or links where those data are available. A visually outdated page is not necessarily dispensable: it may answer a specific customer need.
Distinguish structure from appearance
Typography, layout and imagery can change while retaining URLs. If the offer changes too, reorganise pages and map old addresses to new ones. Do not redirect everything to the homepage for convenience; use an equivalent destination where one exists and retire content correctly when it has no replacement.

Check what screenshots do not show
The website may depend on email, a calendar, CRM or payment provider. Establish who controls domains, hosting and licences without sending passwords through a public form. Clarify access and supplier responsibilities before fixing the switch date.
Launch with a backup and checks
Prepare a recoverable backup and a place to review the new version. Check links, forms, languages and mobile layouts. After launch, verify actual server URLs and redirects. A backup is not a substitute for a recovery procedure you know how to execute.
Measure without attributing everything to design
Compare enquiries, landing pages and search data while recognising their limitations. A traffic change alone does not prove the redesign caused it. Record changes, dates and problems to guide further work with evidence. Maintenance and subsequent SEO need their own scope.
